Please note that Bark's monitoring capabilities vary depending on the mobile device or operating system. For example, it can monitor TikTok and Snapchat on Android devices, while that's not possible on iPhone.

Will my child know bark is on their phone?

Because the child app will need to be installed on your child's device for screen time and filtering, they will be able to see the app is in their installed apps list. We highly encourage you to discuss your usage of Bark with your child.

Can kids get around bark monitoring?

Yes, many of Bark's features can be bypassed.

This allows your child to access websites and use apps freely. Bark will send an alert to your dashboard if this happens, but it can't prevent your child from disabling the VPN.

Can Bark see video calls?

Bark now covers Skype, the popular video and voice chat platform. While we're unable to monitor content shared during live calls, we can monitor the text and media shared through direct messages on connected Android and Amazon devices.

Though Bark does not alert on every new installed application on your child's iOS or Android device, Bark can alert you if a monitored device downloads a risky app, like anonymous messaging platforms, even if at this time Bark cannot monitor that platform for worrisome activity.

How do I stop bark monitoring?

STEP 1: Log in > scroll down to the child > select Monitoring. STEP 2: Select the platform in question > Stop Monitoring. All done! This will no longer be monitored by Bark.
