Soylent Green was a film released in 1973 that contained the ultimate twist ending–(spoiler alert) the “plankton-based” food that most of the population survived on was actually made of people.
The Parallax Corp. has partnered with the film’s distributors to create Soylent Green branded crackers. Are they made of people? Find out after the cut…
Parallax wanted to stay true to the themes of the 1973 film while designing the packaging. The design is meant to reflect “utopian propaganda of an evil mega-corporation with the feelings of despair and hunger depicted in the movie”. Not exactly appetizing, but the packaging does evoke the movie very well.
