Paper that Makes the Package

These cool little packages were design by Ken Lo of Blow.hk. Lo seems to have either a fascination or deal with Astrobrights Paper, whichever the case we are 100% into it. Lo has created some gorg(that’s short for gorgeous) packages using paper and basic 3D shapes. About his project Ken Lo says, “To further explore the possibility of Astrobrights paper for Polytrade, we have designed a series of packaging by using astrobrights paper, including wine, chocolate, mooncake, tea packaging and gift box.”
The first 5 pictures are mooncake packages while the last 3 are for Chinese tea(there are a lot more examples on his Behance profile).

I think the greatness of these packages comes down to three things:
1. The paper, it looks thick, its bright, its crisp, its been scored well, etc. etc.
2. Lo’s use of color, and texture–he nicely balances the colors across the scope of the packages as well as with the various textures
3. Lo’s presentation is nice. There is so much to be said for a nice presentation. Obviously I haven’t and probably will not see these in person so I will be left only with the memories that have been created via me the computer screen. Lo’s interesting presentation and crisp photography assure that those memories will be fond ones.
